2010: Our 10th Anniversary!

We have some fantastic opportunities lined up for you to all enjoy:-

First and foremost will be our entry into Taunton’s Fun, Half and Full Marathon. Taking place on Sunday April 11th, can we be bigger and better than ever? Fancy Dress, Funny hats, anything goes. Many members are planning on entering the half marathon for the very first time, and they may even walk the whole way around, but does this matter? No of course not, just come on out and have fun. BUT come on we haven’t had a member manage the Full Marathon yet, could this be you?..............

April will be a very busy month for ESCAPE because………………hooray…………………. We have two members entered into the world famous LONDON MARATHON. Who I hear you ask? Our first successful entry is Emellia Ker, Hugh’s sister, not only is Emellia getting married next year but she is also now going to have to find time to train for the marathon. Our second entry is Cathy Mercer. Yes you did read that right, Cathy is doing the Marathon. Cathy can’t quite believe it herself!!!! So on Sunday 25th April Emellia and Cathy will be requiring all of your virtual thoughts to help them get round this course. We hope to be putting on a supporters coach so if you are interested in coming along to support them then let us know.

It goes without saying Emellia and Cathy will be asking everyone to dig deep into their pockets and we will soon be setting up a fundraising page with Virgin Money Giving. So watch this space.

On Monday 31st May we have a Children’s Party and Barn Dance and on Saturday 19th June will be our Carers Midsummer Ball.

Our 2010 Annual Special is taking place during the October Half Term and we are travelling to Caythorpe Court - a PGL centre - which is a fantastic mansion with loads of great facilities and outdoor activities. We are offering our members a great 4 night holiday at a greatly reduced price, so if you would like further details then give us a call.
