LONDON MARATHON 13th APRIL 2008

Hot on the heels of our group entry into Taunton Half Marathon and Family Fun Run, two ESCAPE members, Chris Ker and Tina Greenhalgh undertook the challenge of a lifetime, THE LONDON MARATHON. Supported by many family, friends and ESCAPE members, Chris and Tina bravely ran the route amidst, what was at times, horrendous weather and still managed to get over the finish line with smiles on their faces.

They both beat their estimated finish times, with Tina finishing in 5h 21m 17s and Chris at 5h 36m 27s.

The runners and supporters found the whole Marathon experience one they would never forget, the support from the crowd and the determination of the participants left us all in awe and we are all extremely proud of Chris and Tina for completing something that many of us can only dream of.

Watch out though - Chris is already trying to recruit for next year!!!

WELL DONE TO YOU BOTH!
